Migration and Implementation
Logicworks clients often reach out to us after outgrowing their existing managed hosting provider, in most cases due to changing requirements around scalability, support, or engineering capabilities.
Project Management and Design
Logicworks’ team of project managers and senior engineers will perform the appropriate due diligence on your existing architecture(s) to both design a full project plan for migration and also to make recommendations around areas to improve performance, uptime, and gain cost efficiencies wherever possible.
This process not only saves Logicworks' clients the time, stress, and cost of planning a complex migration, but it also establishes a clear understanding of the working relationship between Logicworks’ engineers and our clients’ engineers. The discovery process marks the beginning of the IT operations integration process, where Logicworks is briefed on the areas of our client’s infrastructure that we will be assuming responsibility for, and we begin to define the operating and response procedures, which culminates in the creation of a runbook for various maintenance and troubleshooting scenarios.
Database Migration Expertise
Logicworks employs a full staff of certified DBAs for Oracle, Microsoft, and MySQL database platforms. Logicworks DBAs will be involved in both the design phase of the migration and the migration itself. Logicworks’ engineering team has in-the-trenches experience of performing hundreds of migrations with large and complex databases and infrastructures. Clients are able to leverage Logicworks’ expansive expertise and experience, knowing our team will work side-by-side them from the initial conversation all the way through to implementation. Logicworks aims to do the heavy lifting to keep you focused on your business.
Logicworks has been supporting high-availability infrastructures as a core focus for over a decade. We understand our clients' sensitivity to downtime and will provide assistance around planning, coordinating, and solving any possible interruption of service during a migration. Our initial goal is always to provide as dynamic a cutover as possible. In many cases, we can enable an active-active environment between Logicworks and our clients’ former providers, making the process seamless and without any downtime.
